  2. Who we are One of four schools at OSUIT We have programs in the following: Culinary Arts Nursing Allied Health Sciences Pre-Professional Studies Pre-Education Business Applied Technical Leadership

  3. Culinary Arts A.A.S. The Associate in Applied Science in Culinary Arts prepares students with the skills and knowledge necessary for an exciting career in the growing food service industry. Students learn through hands-on training utilizing the latest technology in fully equipped kitchen labs. The diverse faculty of chefs brings many years of experience at the executive chef level.

  4. Nursing A.A.S. OSU Institute of Technology offers two pathways to becoming a registered nurse. The Associate in Applied Science in Nursing offers two program options, a traditional RN program and a transitional LPN to RN program There is no better place to become an RN than OSUIT. OSUIT s AAS in Nursing provides hands-on learning environments, experienced faculty and state-of-the- art classrooms and lab spaces. Our nursing labs feature advanced simulation mannequins enabling practice for a wide range of nursing procedures. Upon successful completion of the degree program and NCLEX-RN, you will be eligible for numerous employment opportunities as a registered nurse. As an RN, you are accountable to think critically, collaborate with and advocate for patients and participate in the improvement of healthcare systems, all with excellent salary potential.

  5. Allied Health Sciences A.S. The Associate in Science in Allied Health Sciences will prepare students with the basics for healthcare specialties which have a high demand for skilled technicians. Statistics from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (EOSC) lists the Allied Health Sciences fields as among the top 30 fastest growing occupations in Oklahoma through 2018. Graduates who earn an Associate in Science in Allied Health Sciences from OSU Institute of Technology can seamlessly continue their education towards a bachelor s degree that will allow them to pursue careers in a wide variety of fields such as: Radiography Sonography Biology Microbiology After students earn their AS in Allied Health Sciences, they can transfer to four-year universities around the state to gain a baccalaureate degree. One of those colleges is The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Tulsa. OSUIT has worked with administrators at the university to develop a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU will allow OSUIT to transfer their credits to OU and enroll in one of their many degree programs in the Allied Health Sciences fields.

  6. Pre-Professional Studies A.S. The AS in Pre-Professional Studies at OSUIT enables students to earn the first two years of their bachelor s degree online. This degree program applies to a variety of disciplines with the assurance that all courses will transfer to another Oklahoma college offering a bachelor s degree. The AS in Pre-Professional Studies program is a popular option for students planning to attend OSU, University of Oklahoma and University of Tulsa. All or most of the credits can be applied to a wide variety of regionally accredited colleges throughout the US as well.

  7. Pre-Education A.S. OSU Institute of Technology offers a comprehensive Pre-Education program featuring: Seamless transfer process into a bachelor s degree program Low student-to-faculty ratio Full-time faculty focused on student-centered learning Develop a solid educational foundation that meets all state requirements in math, English, science, social sciences, and foreign language. The Oklahoma Department of Education recently stated that state teacher salaries average $31,000 to $37,000 annually. Pursuing an Associate in Science in Pre-Education from OSUIT is an affordable option that paves the way toward a bachelor s degree. Graduates can become teachers in a wide variety of environments including elementary, early childhood, special education, and secondary education. All coursework in the Associate in Science in Pre-Education will seamlessly transfer to any Oklahoma college that offers a bachelor s degree in education. Students who complete a bachelor s degree are likely to have increased earnings of almost $1 million over the course of their lifetime compared to high school graduates.

  8. Business A.S. Develop valuable business knowledge and skill in a variety of areas including basic accounting, economics, statistics, business law, human resources, and business management. All coursework in the Associate in Science in Business seamlessly transfers to any Oklahoma college that offers a bachelor s degree in business. Students who complete a bachelor s degree are likely to have increased earnings of almost $1 million over the course of their lifetime compared to high school graduates. Graduates who earn an AS in Business from OSU Institute of Technology can seamlessly continue their education towards a bachelor s degree that will allow them to pursue careers in a wide variety of fields such as academics, accounting, government, human resources, management, and marketing. The AS in Business will give students the foundation of courses they need to transfer and complete a bachelor's degree in business-related studies at most universities across the nation.

  9. Applied Technical Leadership B.T. The Applied Technical Leadership program is an online, accelerated baccalaureate degree which prepares you to develop, lead and manage current and emerging technologies, technical professionals and related processes. The program s application-focused projects allow you to align your learning experiences with your respective career trajectories, employers and/or industries. The Applied Technical Leadership degree was created in response to the demand for individuals who possess the technical, leadership, management and entrepreneurial skills necessary to successfully fulfill supervisory and other administrative positions within today s organizations and workforce sectors. According to the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, General and Operations Managerial positions are projected to increase 9.4 percent by 2026.
