HV insulation on Connector HV issue on the FCC connector : Hirose FH41-50S-0.5SH(28) 100uPET HV range : 200V DC< HV <300V (TBC) The specification of the connector gives : o rated 50Vrms AC o Insulation test 100V DC o Withstanding voltage : 150Vrms AC insulation o The pitch of the connector is : 0,5mm o The width of a pin is :0,12mm o Insulation => 0,38mm SebastienCAP 4 28MAY24

  5. Manual test result Solution: remove 1 pin on the connector to increase the insulation between the HV and the following pin .(rise insulation from 0,38 to 0,88mm ) Below, manual method result (with tweezer pushing pin from in toward outside ) : push SebastienCAP 5 28MAY24

  6. conclusion Conclusion Manual result is quiet positive (it works) Tweezer is too big to do this manual operation : plastic and/or adjacent pin degradation Repeatability without damage is not guaranteed Need dedicated mechanical tool Which will be used for the mass production (qty 240 ) To improve repeatability, we have to : o Design High precision tool to push the pin (width ~ 0,1mm) o Lock precisely the connector in the tool SebastienCAP 6 28MAY24
