FIBA 2-PERSON MECHANICS PRE-GAME (FIBA protocol to be applied where appropriate) On the court 20 minutes before game time (diagram next page) Make sure scoresheet is correctly prepared and that, 10 minutes before game time, coaches confirm list, indicate five starters, and sign scoresheet Introduction: 7 minutes before game time, bring the captains together at centre court. With 3 minutes left, horn will sound, move across the floor and quickly introduce yourselves to the coaches. Then, talk with the table officials. With 1:30 minute left, blow whistle and bring teams to bench.

CALLING A FOUL Stop clock: arm straight up. Fist for Foul: Action = Stick a dart in the wall. Indicate number of free throws in controversial situations RUN to scorer s table (6 to 8 m) and STOP Report while standing still: Remember: C N N C - C "Blue" Colour - N "14" Number - N "Push" + signal Nature - C "1, 2, or 3 shots" Consequence (If applicable, B-F-S-T) Count the Basket B Report the Foul F Bring in the Subs S Start the Time out - T
CALLING A FOUL RUN to next position Free official keeps all players within field of vision In principle, exchange positions Calling official becomes or remains T Double whistle: Eye contact Nearest official or official toward whom play is moving takes call Discuss in pre-game.

FREE THROWS WITH NO LINE UP Official not calling foul administers free throws Calling official goes to center line extended, opposite table If the ball is to be thrown in at the new throw in line of the front court.
