  2. June 2016 Welcome to the 2016 PA System of Care Learning Institute! We are very excited about the expansion of this year s Learning Institute. It has grown to a three day event which now includes a dedicated networking day for family, youth and system partners and High Fidelity Wraparound. The second day will offer you a range of twenty-four workshop opportunities pertaining to current topics of interest for all partners by partners. The third day focuses on expanding perspectives related to trauma informed systems. We would like to thank the presenters for their willingness to participate and share their experiences and knowledge through the workshops. Special thanks to youth and family partners along with the federal, state and local presenters for their contributions. Our hope is that you have an enjoyable time, learn at least one new thing that you will use tomorrow, and have a renewed perspective to your on-going daily work. PA, the Behavioral Health Alliance of Rural Pennsylvania (BHARP) SOC Project, and the Youth and Family Training Institute (YFTI). Working at the state, county, and individual levels in Pennsylvania, the event partners bring youth, families, systems and supports together to find effective and efficient strategies that improve outcomes for youth and their families. We are focusing on the needs of children, youth, young adults and their families, who have complex behavioral health challenges and may be involved in the juvenile justice and/or child welfare system(s) and may be at risk of out-of-home placement. The group will talk about working collaboratively communication between team members. ROOM 220 Cultural & Linguistic Competence Session Facilitator: Kelsey Leonard Join the PA SOC CLC Subcommittee and tips for improved ROOM 206 Youth Support Partner: HFW Role Session Facilitator: Chad Owens The YSP role session will include a discussion about the organization of the YSP calls. There will be information and discussion regarding youth involvement in the PA system of care, in Youth M.O.V.E., on advisory boards and on the Community Care Behavioral Health youth board. 3:15 PM - 5:00 PM Role Sessions ROOM 211 Facilitator: High Fidelity Wraparound Role Session Facilitator: Dave Ozias The facilitator role session will review facilitation skills to enhance meetings. The group will talk about skills involved in transitioning youth and families, and the importance of transferring skills so the youth and family can manage their behavioral health needs. Tips and ideas to improve the facilitator role will be shared. ROOM 207 County and Provider Representatives: HFW Role Session Facilitators: Shannon M. Fagan and Sherry Peters This session is a continuation of the ongoing discussion with the County/Provider High Fidelity Wraparound Network in PA. It will be co-facilitated by Shannon Fagan, Director of the Children's Bureau and Sherry Peters, Director of the Bureau of Policy, Planning and Program Development within the Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. The conversation will be focused on Chart Form data, WFI-EZ topics, and funding. This session also allows for networking among the counties and providers to share experiences and resources. ROOM 208 Coach: High Fidelity Wraparound Role Session Facilitator: Tanya Walburn The coach role session will involve a discussion about evaluation tools and reports. The group will combine time with the evaluation subcommittee to start to establish benchmarks related to the current state wide Chart form data and reports. This discussion will help to clarify the strengths and areas for improvement related to maintaining fidelity to the HFW model . The evaluation subcommittee will develop their yearly agenda and the Coaches group will discuss agenda for upcoming quarterly calls.
