2021 London Child Exploitation Protocol Overview
The 2021 London Child Exploitation Protocol is a police-led, multi-agency document designed to identify children at risk of exploitation, provide early intervention opportunities, and upskill safeguarding partnerships. It aims to keep children safe and equip frontline responders with the necessary tools to prevent exploitation. Major changes from the 2017 protocol include the removal of CSE levels, creation of non-crime 588 child exploitation CRIS report, and enhancements in prevention, early intervention, intelligence submissions, safeguarding children in custody, and ensuring safety during placements.
