  4. 2022 Workflows Idea is for IRINs to transition to ArcPro Most agencies already there Planned FS end-of-life availability of ArcMap is Feb 2024 (Forest Service only) Target date for ArcGIS Pro in the FS Data Center (VDI) is June 1 (Forest Service only) Always use stand-alone install of ArcPro or ArcMap for IRIN work

  5. IRIN workflow 2022 Posting products to ftp site as always Posting IR products to the NIFS IRIN Edit service new for 2022 Work in the NIFS (IRIN Edit service) so that the information is immediately available to GISS and firefighters via Field Maps.

  6. National Incident Feature Service (NIFS) ArcGIS Online (AGOL)-hosted feature service for wildfires used by all GISS Must be accessed using a NIFC AGOL account with GISS or IRIN user role Connection is made via a *.pitemx file or favoriting (ArcPro) or a layerfile (ArcMap)

NIFC AGOL for 2022 All IRIN/GISS need to complete the NIFC AGOL Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) training at the Wildland Fire Learning Portal https://wildlandfirelearningportal.net/ You must set up an account specific to the portal, can t use your AGOL or NAP account Do this ASAP! Deadline has passed but course is still available Asked to upload screenshot/file of your redcard List of approved end product IR analysts provided to NIFC AGOL staff Email wildfireresponse@firenet.org once completed

IRIN Edit Service (NIFS) Only includes the IR feature layers No ability to edit/delete other NIFS layers Internal View Service of NIFS Allows read-only view of other NIFS layers, can t edit Can copy perimeter (event polygon) for starting IR perimeter Links (need to login to NIFC AGOL) Training IRIN Edit Access (arcgis.com) IRIN Edit Access (arcgis.com) Training Internal View Service Internal View Service (NIFS 2022)

  9. Connection Files ArcPro connection files (*.pitemx) work (or add to Favorites) ArcMap connection files (*.pitem) do not work. They have a bug only loads first feature layer (e.g. IR point) For ArcMap use provided layer files as a work-around

  10. Help Desk for NIFS Issues Submit request at Support Request Form or email wildfireresponse@firenet.gov Staffed 7 days a week at PL3 but not 24/7
