This document discusses various options for setting up Transmit Diversity (TxD) requirements in different releases, including indication for Standalone (SA) operation and power capability fallback. It also addresses UL MIMO emission requirements for Release 15, focusing on 2-layer requirements and measurement results. Furthermore, it delves into clarifications on NR power class for NSA and MR-DC modes in different releases.

  1. 3GPP TSG-RAN WG4#95-e Meeting R4-2008408 Electronic Meeting, 25 May 5 June., 2020 WF on Power Class related UL MIMO and other requirements vivo

  2. Way Forward(1) Package solution for Sub-topic 1-1 (TxD and power-capability indication for SA operation) Option 1: Setting up TxD requirements in Rel-16 and Release independent from Rel-15; Do not allow SA SU indicating PC2 fallback to PC3 for 1-port transmission; Option 2: Setting up TxD requirements for TxD in Rel-16; Not allow to release independent from Rel-15; Allow SA UE indicating PC2 fall back to PC3 for 1-port transmission; Option 3: Setting up TxD requirements for TxD in Rel-15; Allow SA UE indicating PC2 fall back to PC3 for 1-port transmission; Option 4: Setting up TxD requirements for TxD in Rel-16; Not allow to release independent from Rel-15; Do not allow SA UE indicating PC2 fall back to PC3 for 1-port transmission; Option 5 Decide release independence once requirements are agreed Option 6: Decide release independence once TxD requirements are agreed Allow SA UE indicating PC2 fall back to PC3 for 1-port transmission in R15; Option 7: Setting up TxD requirements in Rel-16 and Release independent from Rel-15; Allow SA UE indicating PC2 fall back to PC3 for 1-port transmission in R15; Add capability signaling in R16 to distinguish between 23+23dBm and 26dBm implementations. Such signaling nee ds to be usable by R15 UEs too Maybe the existing R15 1PA/2PA signaling can be reused already Will the network be able to implement the R16 capability for R15 UEs? Is this for intra-band EN-DC or inter-band EN-DC, or both? Needs to have all the requirements in a CR to better under the whole option

  3. Way Forward(2) For R15 UL MIMO emission requirements, using R4-2008046 (Qualcomm) as a baseline; Focus on 2-layer requirements; Both PC2 and PC3 were considered; Interested companies can provide MPR measurement results for further check in RAN4#96-e [The assumptions could be ] MPR of Rel-15 UE for 1Tx should not be affected in any case

  4. Way Forward(3) For the current REl-15 RAN4 clarification of NSA NR power class Option 1: Keep it as it is; Option 2: Revert the clarification by deleting it. How to treat the Rel-16 NR power class in MR-DC mode Option 1: Introduce explicit signaling; Option 2: Not introduce signalling, no further change; Option 3: Introduce the current Rel-15 changes;

  5. Way Forward(4) [Further discuss the need for CDD based TxDiv evaluation] [EVM measurement for TxD case] [Confirmed with other TxD discussion]
