Background This section should contain information on Which Safety Standard is being revised, including reason or whether document is new Main reasons for developing the document Example of the text NS-G-1.7, Protection against Internal Fires and Explosions in the Design of Nuclear Power Plants and NS-G-1.11, Protection against Internal Hazards other than Fires and Explosions in the Design of Nuclear Power Plants Published in 2004 to provide recommendations to fulfil requirements of NS-R-1, Safety Requirements on the Safety of Nuclear Power Plants (published 2001) NS-R-1 superseded by SSR-2/1 (Rev. 1) In particular, requirements for protection against internal and external hazards reinforced Design Extension Conditions (DECs) in nuclear power plant design envelope included Safety features for DEC to be protected against impact of internal and external hazards

Overview of the Document Example of the text The scope of NS-R-4 remains essentially unchanged The new information in DS476 includes -Subcritical assemblies -Preparation for Decommissioning --Interfaces between safety and security Other Changes -Material on regulatory supervision , siting , and management system was revised in accordance with the Committees and Commission decision. -Material more suitable to guidance removed -References updated

Status of the Document Example of the text The DPP was approved by the Committees in April 2014 The first draft was developed in two Consultancy Meetings during 2014 -The first draft was approved by the Committees in November 2014 for submission to MSs for comments -Table of resolution of MS comments posted on the website Sept 2015 -Submission to the Committees after resolution of MS comments, and DS476 reviewed by the Technical Editors -Approved by RASSC/WASSC/TRANSC/NUSSC and cleared by NSGC in Nov/Dec 2015; Submission to the Committee for approval to
