  1. 7thGrade Math Class Mrs. Landon 2025 2024 Contact Info ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CLASSROOM MATERIALS Binder Pencils/Grading Pens Expos Homework Earbuds and Charged MacBook Positive Attitude Willingness to Learn M-F 8:42-9:25 and Mondays and Fridays 12:17-1:00 Email: clandon@usd232.org Phone 913-422-1100 ext. 2442 Grades- Homework 10pts, Quizzes 20 30 points, and Tests 100 points Homework- is graded and recorded in class by the students. It can be corrected for half credit back. Quizzes- no retakes, 1-2 per unit Tests- retakes are possible with certain protocols on the back. Extra credit - given after every test for up to 10 points, not upon requests. Late Work- 10% off after homework is one day late. It can be turned in anytime until the test. After that, it will remain a zero. Concepts we will learn: Ratio and Proportional Reasoning Expressions and Equations The Real Number System (fractions, decimals and integers) Statistics and Probability Geometry Students will organize each unit with their notes and homework to study and turned in the day of the test for 10 points.

  2. Most of you will come across a topic that requires more explanation. Student can come in before school with your 7:35 pass, WIN time, and after school. The TSP (Timberwolf Success Program) is available Tuesdays through Thursdays from 3:00-4:30. I want you all to be successful, so you must take responsibility for your own learning. I expect students to advocate for themselves and for their grade. When your math teacher is absent, please see the other 7th grade math teacher, Mrs. Ayers, for assistance. students KSS (Keeping Skills Sharp) is given on Mondays and due on Fridays. Students have a chance to turn it in early as many times in the week to be graded and handed back for another chance to complete. Students may retake a test that they earned a D and F. To qualify for a retake, a student cannot have any missing math assignments for that unit, come to a study session and complete corrections on the problems missed. Students must show all work all the time. It is going to be a great year in math!!! I hope you are as excited as I am!!! Phones will not be used in class and will remain in student s backpacks.

Therefore, homework will be given nearly every day. In most cases, you will be given time to start and sometimes finish the assignment in class or seminar. If you have not completed your homework on time, you will need to stay after school to complete it. Late work will not be eligible for full credit. All assignments must be completed before the end of the unit or will result in a zero. If you are absent, you have two days for every one day you are absent. Both absent and late assignments should be placed in the late/absent basket. Students may redo any assignment they received an F on, but it must be completed before the chapter test. assignment. To qualify for a retake, a student cannot have any missing math assignments for that unit, must have finished the study guide, and complete corrections on the problems missed. Ask questions, do the math, and our year together will be awesome!! Students must show all work all the time.
