A-MPR Simulation Assumptions for Adding CBW to Band n65 Ericsson
Explore the A-MPR simulation assumptions for incorporating Channel Bandwidth (CBW) into Band n65 Ericsson, including background contributions, discussions on simulation results, and measurement confirmations for band protections. Details on new specifications, simulation parameters, and considerations for optimal PA bias current are discussed. References to relevant studies by Qualcomm, Ericsson, Apple, and Skyworks are also provided.

3GPP TSG-RAN WG4 Meeting #94-e-bis Electronic meeting, April 20-30, 2020 R4-2005186 WF on A-MPR simulation assumptions when adding CBW to band n65 Ericsson
Background Contributions and discussion on: A-MPR simulations results [1], [2] and [3]. Measurements [4] which confirm: B34 protection: needs power back-off of ~19dB (fc=1980MHz). B3 protection: no power back-off (fc=1945) and 37dB rejection filter.
A-MPR New NS will be specified to protect: Band 34 Band 33 and remove RB restrictions in coex. table (Note 27 in Table 6.5.3.2-1). NS_24 is not updated with 50MHz CBW.
A-MPR simulation Simulation assumptions: CIM3: -60 dBc. IQ image: -28 dB. LO leakage: -28 dBc. PA calibration point is 20 MHz, 15 kHz, QPSK, DFT-S-OFDM, 100 RB at lower channel edge with 1 dB MPR Filter rejection for band 34 Rx: 0dB 50 MHz Channel bandwidth located: Band 34 protection: Fc at 1980 MHz. Fc at 1975 MHz, this would consider 5+5 MHz offset from band edge, similar to what has been done for 20 MHz. Band 33 protection: Fc at 1945 MHz.
A-MPR simulation Considering the expected back-off values, an optimum PA bias current should be considered: This might not be taken into account in the A-MPR simulations. Actual measurements would be major input to correct simulation results.
