The Aboriginal Education Centre Turtle Island, opened in 1992 at the University of Windsor, provides academic, social, personal, and cultural support to facilitate student success. Located in the CAW Student Centre, Room 179, Turtle Island offers services and programs to meet the needs of Aboriginal students on campus. The mission is to promote cultural sensitivity and awareness while offering a warm, culturally safe atmosphere for students' enjoyment.   1. Welcome to the Aboriginal Education Centre Turtle Island The Aboriginal Education Centre- Turtle Island opened in 1992 to support University of Windsor Aboriginal students.

  2. Located in the CAW Student Centre Room 179 Turtle Island is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm Turtle Island offers services and programs to meet the needs of Aboriginal students on campus. All University of Windsor students are Welcome!

  4. Facilitating and advising Aboriginal students how to effectively navigate the Post-Secondary system includes an awareness of campus services and supports. Helping with proper referrals Co-ordinating with special projects and services Partnerships with community agencies and with First schools and local school boards Nations Helping to organize social gatherings and activities
