Engage students in academic scholarship by implementing a three-stage research assignment process led by R. Clinton Crews, MPH, Associate Professor, and Jessica Wilhelm, MSA, LSA, CSA, F-PRS, Assistant Professor. This innovative educational approach aims to promote academic scholarship, create professional opportunities, and enhance the learning experience for students. The process involves in-depth evaluation of evidence-based research, interactive discussions, and development of publishable research transcripts. Students present their findings through poster presentations, panel discussions, and research transcripts tailored for the Surgical Assistant profession, under the course "MSA 504 - Advanced Topics of Surgical Assisting."
