College in High School Program Overview 2022-2023 A partnership between Neshannock Township School District and Seton Hill University/University of Pittsburgh/Duquesne University
College in High School Program College in High School has been designed to accelerate top students to college-level academic preparation while taking high level high school courses. The program leads to college credits earned for freshmen level courses which are required by most universities. Students may be able transfer the credits to the college or university of their choice. The students may have advanced standing at the university level, which equates to great savings in time and money for the student.
Benefits to earning college credits in high school Credits MAY be transferable to most universities and colleges for similar courses. (not all colleges/programs accept transfer credits) Students may graduate (college) early. Tremendous savings in college tuition expense. Students may earn a dual major with the additional time available at college. Students may take lighter semesters at college during peak academic or athletic times. Signifies to college acceptance officials the student s readiness for higher education.
