Overview PROBLEM: How to identify the most promising technologies across UC to address the critical needs of UC Health and what s the best strategy to accelerate commercialization? PROPOSED SOLUTION: Developed a proposal to prioritize the project pipeline and approach to create industry and investor connections for rapid go-to-market. Start with contact tracing & testing solutions (a priority for UC Health). Key components include: 1. Source targets from various UC initiatives (campus I&E programs, RGPO Seed Funding, CITRIS seed fund grantees, etc.) 2. Partner with clinical domain experts and our investor & corporate network to review and rank each of the target startups/research groups (technology and market diligence) 3. Pursue 3 strategies to elevate the top-rated target startups/research projects Weekly Webinar Pitch Showcase Targeted 1:1 Intros Integration into State/Fed Reopening Efforts

Recruit campus I&E community, RGPO Seed Funding, CITRIS seed fund proposals, UCSC Sandbox, etc. 2. Recruit cross-functional review committee, including clinical domain experts, investors, corporate partners, etc. 3. Conduct cross-functional diligence and consolidate final ready to action list Consolidate Ready-to-Action List: External Stakeholders 1. Recruit additional external stakeholders for participation in weekly webinars (e.g. corporate partners, investors, OCIO, etc.) 2. Compile wish-list from startups/researchers 3. Apply to Rapid Commercialization of UC C-19 Ventures (now - June 12) Currently recruiting founders and principal investigators to apply to our pilot program for the Rapid Commercialization of UC C-19 Ventures here Outreach to~26 research projects/startups related to testing or contact tracing from various UC entities -- RGPO Seed Funding Grants, CITRIS Seed Grants, UCSC Startup Sandbox, UCLA Technology Development Group, etc 2. Application Review Committee (June 12 - June 29) Pre-identified ~18 clinical domain experts and ~19 investors, corporate partners, etc to participate on our review committee Recruitment will begin June 12 Each reviewer will be assigned applications to rate and review via F6S platform during the week of June 22 3. Organize Webinar Pitch Showcase (June 15 - June 29) Invite audience to webinar pitch competition based on top-rated ventures and organize competition Launch pitch competition week of June 29
