ACEPRD Plant Repository Intermediate Report - Integrating Traditional Medicine with Modern Healthcare
African Centre for Excellence in Phytomedicine Research and Development aims to bridge the gap between traditional and modern medicine by creating an Open Access Repository for plant-derived medications. Scientific Problem Scientific Problem African Centre for Excellence in Phytomedicine Research and Development has noticed a paradigm shift towards plant derived medication in treatment of disease.This shift has led to a demand for plant-derived medicines (phytomedicines) as a primary and complementary medical tool. Within the region, traditional medicine has not been fully integrated into modern healthcare delivery system. 3
