  6. ACMA Awards - Assessors Scoring Guidelines PM_44_G19, Rev No. 00 Site Diagnosis Guidelines for Assessors ACMA AWARD Means you are assessing performance for April 2016 to March 2017 1. The CEO presentation will say what the company does 2. Leadership Interaction is a discussion with CEO on his philosophy on employee management. 3. Company Presentation will have linkage with the Vision/Mission statements of the company 4. Assessors will have to confirm whether the company does what it says. This is carried out by: a) Site Visit b) Review of documents c) Observation & analysis. d) Feedbacks 5. The following subjects needs to be examined: (As per application contents if applicable) a) Documents b) Company presentation c) Departmental presentations d) Gemba visits * f) Environment Management Systems 6. The diagnosis should cover: (As per application contents if applicable) a) Basic 5S b) Total employee Involvement c) Welfare activities/ work environment/culture e) Certifications/awards / Recognitions 7. Focus Group Discussion (only for HR Awards): To understand the involvement, belongingness and understanding of employees towards organisation 8. ACMA Award assessment is to verify the contents of application by site assessment where you can see the evidences. 9. Do not stretch any point beyond certain limits. 10. Avoid asking for some documents / data as it is liked by you or you need for your interest. 6

If company does not allow you to take photographs from your camera, then request company to take from their camera (Photo points will be told by assessors) .. In case, Company finally says NO to photos, then kindly inform them (politely), No issues .. It is your decision as photos are easy means to form an image of your company even if your marks are slightly less . 12. Say NO if company team invites you for Dinner during or prior to assessment days . 13. Feedback: At the end of Assessment, Must give feedback as follow:- Minimum 5 and maximum 7 good observations and then Minimum 2 and maximum 3 suggested points for improvements (Deviation from the feedback shared at the site and as given in the report needs to be avoided) 14. If company asks for Next process after this assessment then you may inform following : Based on this assessment, we will give marks and report to ACMA and then ACMA will send these reports to Jury members where Jury panel (From OEMs) finalizes winners and winners will be awarded at ACT Summit. 15. ALL Assessors are invited to attend ACT Summit (No entry fees and we will provide reserved seat however travel and stay to be managed by individuals ) * During Gemba visit, look for Must Be Facilities as mentioned on next page. 7

Guidelines for marking theoretical questions, few examples- (i) Do you have a planning process for deploying vision, mission, strategies (e.g., Policy Deployment, Management by Objective, etc.)? Step 2 : Look for absolute values Now you will find B company is far better than A ( as B is near to benchmark < 0.5 %) Step 3 : Look for Product or its application or shop floor condition ( if required ) Suggested marks : A = 8-9, B= 8-9 17

Fill up Actual marks for 5 Areas Fill up min. 5 Major strengths and min. 5 Areas for improvements for 5 Areas Insert min. 5 Good photographs and 5 photographs requiring attention. You may add additional points / Information after completing the expected report as per format . c. d. The feedback shared in the report should be in line with application data & based on proper verification or validation during site visit. It needs to be discussed during the site visit too.
