APT Prohuman Future World of Work #Challenges bring us together during this process of adapting to the new normal. AN EXPERT AND AN HR ADVISOR AN EXPERT AND AN HR ADVISOR Bucharest, April 2020
General Market overview Market Labor Reactions Being a mediator between our partners and the employees, we ve had the chance to see the measures applied in the most important industry from the Romanian market. 1streaction taken by the companies directly affected by the emergency situation substantially lowered the business volume or even temporarily suspension of the business - tourism, support service for airline industry or connected to the airline, transportation sharing companies, restaurants, entertainment industry, etc. This brought the first wave of technical unemployment or even dismissals No change companies that very fast switched the activity in on line or adapted all the operations by implementing tight safety measures at the working place : Telco industry, call centers, shared service centers. Most of the companies keep the employees working from home or paid holidays. The 2ndstep (authorities unemployment allowance 75%) - many companies decided to take this opportunity that allows them to keep the people - many production companies decided to close the operations for a certain period of time and register the employee in technical unemployment for a definite period of time or partially working and partially in technical unemployment. Keep the employees - Last but not least we are having Partners from business industry who have decided to pay free days to the employees without having any activity.
Recruitment during COVID Recruitment Projects in the second week of covid 40% form the recruitment business collapsed. The 3rdweek another 20%. We switched the priority in serving industries that still have demand in this period: IT, Telecom, business services industry. Slowly the volume recruitment and specialist recruitment is starting to show signs of recovery. All of your operations: or or Meetings 100% via skype Onboarding Recruitment
Adapting to the new normal We have adapted the majority of our department to the new normal: working from home. Recruitment processes mainly were conducting via face to face meetings and the candidate driven market was very present. The candidates were having the possibility of choosing from a variety of jobs. The most common approach was direct search by calling / approaching a lot of candidates in order to be able to be successful. Nowadays, everything is online. Recruitment blue - decreased a lot in first phase, our clients decided to postpone every project. Yet, in the logistitics we can see high demand of candidates. Onboarding processes in every process the interaction with the employee was in person. we are trying to adapt everything to online. Account management 7% from the meeting were conducted online, the majority of them was in person at client or our premises. Online or via phone.
Future: Growing together in the new normal Reinvented ourselves! The majority switch to online operations, and did the necessary arrangements by being closed to the customer. Every company will invest in digitalisation in order to be able to have online operations. Restart of the activity will be adapted to the current situation. It will be gradually, using safety measures. The entire human resources process will change, starting with the recruitment process, candidate behaviour, benefits up to induction and daily operations activity. Specialised roles and managerial ones comes with a lot of challenges from recruitment perspective. Entry level roles / Operators
