Background and District Overview After elections on 03 August 2016, UThukela District Municipality merged from five to three local municipalities namely; Alfred Duma LM Inkosi Langalibalele LM Okhahlamba LM Total number of wards is 74 36 Wards 23 Wards 15 Wards UThukela District Municipality Presentation for PCA: 21 June 2017 3
Achievements Date/Period Achievement Services Rendered by Beneficiaries 2017/18 Financial Year Allocated budget for HIV/AIDS and OSS programs Uthukela District Municipality & Local Municipalities All communities in Uthukela District 09 September 2016 DAC members (Councilors, Sector Department, Civil Society) were workshopped/orientated on M & E principles and reporting OTP & Uthukela District Municipality 38 06 October 2016 Formation of DAC forum HIV/AIDS Coordinators DOH Programme Coordinators DSD Programme Coordinators DOE Programme Coordinators Civil Societies Uthukela District Municipality 100% participation of Local Mayors in both DAC & LAC meetings. Challenges Responsible Person/s Challenges Interventions Time Frame Departments not attending DAC meeting consistently. Invite Departmental District Managers and orientate them on DAC HST 14 July 2017 Some department not represented on DAC M&E forum for reporting purpose and data verification. Civil society structure not functional i.e. Women, Youth, children, men , disability and PLWHIV Orientate remaining DAC members on M&E principles. OTP 21 July 2017 Coordinate a meeting to revive civil society structure for the district for presentation, reporting etc. Secretariat 28 July 2017 No full time secretariat staff employed in Okhahlamba LM.
