Addressing Social Injustice for Positive Change
Social justice entails challenging injustices and valuing diversity to create a fair society where discrimination is absent. Issues such as access to basic needs, healthcare, income equality, and environmental justice form part of the broader social justice landscape. These injustices affect various marginalized groups, and it is crucial to advocate for change to ensure equality and fairness for all. By targeting key stakeholders in positions of power, we can bring attention to these critical social justice issues and work towards promoting positive change in our communities and beyond.

3. Who is the audience I am trying to reach and how will that affect my writing?I am persuading students at Haltom High School. This influences my writing because I will use social media, posters, and other materials students can see daily. Example: 1. What cause, or injustice, do I want to address in my presentation? The injustice I will address is the hunger and starvation that occurs in our world. 4. What is your purpose for writing right now? Seeing people waste food everyday in the cafeteria got me thinking that there is no reason why hunger/starvation in other countries should still be an issue today. 2. What am I trying to persuade my audience of? I will persuade my audience to donate food to local and global organizations including the Tarrant Area Food Bank and Stop Hunger Now .
