  2. Achievements of AIoTI Significant growth from around 30 founding participants to almost 400 WG reports have been drafted and submitted and give guidance to Commision on Large Scale Pilots Wide recognition of AIoTI as a core player in IoT policy and standardization 2

AIoTI is at a cross-road Phase ONE is concluded significant input into DG CNCT on preparation of LSPs has been delivered AIoTI has delivered based on a strong, dedicated and forward looking mindset of its members. AIoTI is characterized by a culture of pro-active engagement and constructive dialogue resulting in thought-leadership Based on this spirit, phase TWO is to be defined: confirmation of vision and mission future deliverables legal format, organizational and financial framework actions to be taken 3

AIoTIs Future Opportunity Statement AIoTI 2.0 AIoTI is goal oriented, not subsidy oriented Not yet another platform , strong focus on policy, standardization co- ordination innovation and deployment Agile, flexible, lean and project driven. AIoTI is application driven and complemented by horizontal cross-cutting working structure AIoTI is to be positioned in the international IoT landscape Additional stakeholder groups need to be addressed to make AIoTI an even more impactful network Communication strategy needs to be developed 4

Proposal for Next Steps Organize a strategy workshop on 17 December 2015 to develop and implement our internal organization and external activities To confirm the vision and mission for AIoTI 2.0 To decide on deliverables for 2016/17 and possibly beyond To prepare clear recommendations for a sustainable long term organizational structure To pre-select the preferred governance structure to become effective with immediate effect To define clear milestones, tasks and KPIs 5

Strategy Workshop is next Stepping Stone Participation is suggested by invitation from the Board, pro- active engagement is a prerequisite; all results and discussion topics will be shared with all members of the GA and can be commented on Participants will invite DG CNCT for a de-brief session on the same day Participants are expected to prepare their input addressing the following: Intermediate organization form and end-target Level of engagement in AIoTI 2.0 Gap and stakeholder analysis Organization, structure, fees, duties and rights 6

AIoTI Strategy Workshop December 17, Brussels Focus and effective workshop to define AIoTI Strategy Keep it at a level of maximum 20 participants + the EC representatives 11 Chairs of WGs + 9 representatives from the stakeholders that are not represented by the profiles of the WGs chairs + EC representatives Have representatives for each stake holder group Industry Research SMEs Universities Organisations representing different industrial sectors Organisation representing end-users (i.e. cities, health organisations, mobility stakeholders, farming cooperatives, manufacturing companies ) 11

AIoTI Strategy Workshop If the WGs chairs profile represent a group of companies (semiconductor companies, telecom, electronic components and systems, software, platforms, Internet Service providers, security, mobility Tier1s, manufacturing, etc.), applications verticals (i.e. healthcare, farming, wearables, water management, cities, mobility, manufacturing/factory of the future, etc.), research, university, end users for the vertical sectors (i.e. hospitals/healthcare organisations, farmers/farmers associations, cities, automotive/mobility OMEs, etc. ) or interest organisations addressing the policy and standardisation issues, they will present the point of view for that group of companies in addition to representing the WG. The AIOTI members will send their input to the persons that will represent their opinion at the AIOTI Strategy Workshop. 12

AIoTI Strategy Workshop The extra 9 representatives from the stakeholders that are not represented by the profiles of the WGs chairs will be selected at the GA meeting Example: for the WG09 on mobility if the automotive/mobility OEM is not represented at the GA will be propose on representative from the AIOTI partners to represent this group at the stake holders at the AIOTI Strategy Workshop Same apply for other industrial sector (energy, manufacturing, etc.) or University sector 13
