  7. Music Video Editing Techniques. Student exercise: Multi-Track Editing Download the REM Music video clips and audio track. Open up Adobe Premiere Pro and import all footage from the - REM Converted (2.64) folder Find the REM Audio trackin the project clips bin

  8. Add the audio track to your editing timeline and mark the first note of the song with an in point. Open up one of the video tracks in the preview window and again and mark the first note of the song with an in point.

  9. Mute the audio channel for youre your first video track and repeat the process with the next video clip As you add each track you can check the waveforms of the audio channels to help see if all audio is in time.

  10. IMPORTANT NOTE: Some video tracks are live performances, do not have the original music on them. These have to be edited individually and may drift out of time with the audio track when played back.

  11. Once all of your video tracks have been added into the editing timeline begin your edit. Edit your own version of the REM music video to the beat of the audio track.

  12. Music Video Editing Techniques. Student exercise: Multi-Track Editing You are able to toggle each video track between being on & off using the eye symbol on the left of each video track. You should also mute your audio from video tracks that are already in time. All video edits should always be timed to the main master audio track.

Explain: The process you have taken to complete your edit How easy did you find timing each of the videos to the music? How did your final edit come out? Did you find editing to the beat difficult or easy? Why was this? How do you think this will have an effect on your own music video production project? Remember to add some screen grabs of your edited premiere music video timeline to your blog post.
