  6. Committee's Recommendations - Three Main Topics: Fostering women towards research Recruiting women (senior faculty) Promoting women (senior faculty)

  7. Implementation of Recommendation According to PBC&CHE decisions (1.7.2015, 31.6.2015): Increase of post doctorate scholarships for women (2014-10, 2017-15, 2018-20). Encourage the HEI to appoint an adviser to the president on gender equity. Updating PBC/CHE various regulations regarding scholarships (such as ALON, MAOF) and guidelines (such as requests for opening new programs, self evaluation reposts). 7

  8. Implementation of Recommendation According to PBC&CHE decisions (1.7.2015, 31.6.2015): A call for proposal was published on September 1st, offering budgets for the activity of the adviser to the president and for projects aimed at promoting women. The HEI are asked to update their internal regulations regarding recruitment and promotions of professors. 8

  9. Implementation of Recommendation According to PBC&CHE decisions (1.7.2015, 31.6.2015): The HEI were asked to submit (by the end of 2016) gender report including their policy regarding gender equality and data on the share of women among students & faculty. 9

  10. Some of the Next Steps: Continue to foster HEI s to increase women representation, especially among senior faculty (Prof.) Increasing budgets for: PhD and post doctorate scholarships targeted projects Increase the number of female students in STEM fields. Offer Support and guidance to the forum of Adviser for Gender Equity , including the establishment of a 10 permanent working group.
