The following advantages of using open source software in government may allay these unfounded concerns: 1.Flexibility and Customizability 2.Affordability and Auditability 3.Freedom 4.Quality 5.Support Towards an Open Government The concept of open government preaches a government which is highly transparent and offers mechanisms for continual public scrutiny.
