Monday 13th July Walt to generate ideas for a story. Task: Pick from one of the previous options (1,2 or 3). What is your story going to be based on. Give a bit of extra detail e.g. if picking Romans, where/when will your story be set. What characters will be in it?
Task: Create a list of objects under these headings.
Task: list ideas for each of these steps. These do not have to be your final choices but will help you when you come to plan. Example: Setting Woods, forest, trees, jungle, abandoned hut etc
Tuesday 14th July Walt to draw a setting.
Wednesday 15th July Walt to plan a story. Adventure at Sandy Cove Your story
Task Box up the original story (Adventure at Sandy Cover) then have a go at boxing up your own story.
Thursday 16th July Walt to write in the style of an author.
Friday 17th July Walt to edit writing. EDIT Spelling Punctuation full stops, commas, capital letters semi colons, colons, brackets, dashes Sentences make sense (no words missing or additional words added in). Sentences are in correct tense (past or present) Writing stays in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person and is consistent throughout. REVISE Change word choices to improve them (e.g. big colossal). Add words (adjectives, adverbs) to sentences to improve them. Remove words or sentences that you feel are not needed. Move sentences around to fit better within your story. Add more detail to a sentence to give the reader a better understanding. Edit Revise
