ADVICE Interns were asked, What advice would you give a prospective student who was considering attending Project SEARCH?
Aarons Advice Don t be afraid to be yourself in a positive way. Be a leader and not a follower. It is important to listen to other peoples opinions and respect them.
Alexs Advice My advice to you is to always behave very good and be a hard worker at whatever job sight you are at. Also do not be such a slow rate worker!
Dres Advice The job coaches push you to do better. If you try to give up, you will be pushed to keep going. Project SEARCH will help you with getting a job!
Marks Advice You must be ready for work. You will work with new people you never met. You must be to work on time everyday to please your job coach.
Parris Advice My advice is to be on time everyday and do not be late. Be a hard worker. You must act like a responsible adult.
Rickys Advice Be a hard worker. Be on time. Don t be late for class. Wash your clothes everyday. Be on time to work everyday.
Seths Advice Be ready to work hard and get the job done. You must work with other people that you don t know. Make sure you are on time to the job site that you are at.
Shaiheims Advice My advice is to be on time and follow the rules. You must want to get a job and be willing to learn new things.
Shane's advice My advice for the future Project Search students is to be prepared to be treated like an adult and you will be expected to act like one. Be prepared for the elements like rain, snow and hail because weather affects your commute.
Rebeccas Advice Be a good listener. Be on time for class or work. Be prepared for work.
Chris Ms Advice Project Search will help you to get a job. Project Search will help you to make new friends. Project Search will help you to learn many things. Project Search will help you to follow the rules.
Kaylas Advice Get to work on time and don t be late. You got to stay on task and be focused on your work and talk to others around you if you re working or not. You got to have a good attitude and respect others around you and treat them kind and loving and caring.
Jonathans advice You have to work fast and watch your time Make sure you are on time for work Make sure your on time for your bus Make sure you use your cellphone to contact the teacher
Melanas Advice You have to work on the job. You make new friends. You learn a lot about a job.

Morgans Advice One advice that I would give to someone before they go to Project Search is to stay positive. Don t come in being stressed out. Take a few minutes to take a deep breath and walk in with a positive attitude and a positive smile.
Brittney Ls Advice Project SEARCH helps you find out what you like in a job and what you don t like in a job.
Chris Advice At Project SEARCH there is a good chance you will find something that interests you even if it cooking or landscaping you can learn all these jobs and take those skills with you anywhere.
Anthonys Advice My advice to students who would like to come to XAVIER UNIVERSITY for Project Search is to OPEN your ears and engage your brain so that you can learn on the job and take the skills with you anywhere.
Samuels Advice I would tell them that I learned how much grass seed I put in a bucket. I would tell them some things that I like are weeding and putting in new mulch. Also tell them it is hard to pull weeds that have strong roots.
Tomas Advice My advice to them would be to come to learn. I would also tell them that it is great to meet all the different people. They also would see all the different things on campus.
Brittney Hs Advice My advice for students coming to project search is that you have to be ready for anything that is thrown at you. I have learned so much but the best part is making friends with people on campus.
Ceauntays Advice I like coming to Xavier University because it helps me know what I am about to do if I go to work. I learned how I can work independently. I also like being around the mentors.
Crystals Advice My feet hurt at the end of the day, get yourself some good shoes.
Marquitas Advice I am happy that I came to Xavier because I am around people my age and we get it have a mentor this year. What I don t like about Xavier is working in the cafeteria.
Wills Advice I like the mail center. It is good job to work at.
Teresas Advice You have to be a hard worker. You can t fool around. You have to be on time. You have to be clean every day.
Indias Advice I like coming to Xavier because they can help me get ready for the work force. I m glad I came here.
Savvys Advice I wish someone would have told me a head of time what kind of jobs that they have here.
Lexus Advice I like working outside. Walt is the best boss I ever had. I learn a lot from him when we are on the job. I learn about the plants we work with and the tools.
Maegans Advice I like coming to Xavier because I am learning how to work and become more independent. Also I get a mentor as a friend and I like how we get to do activities with our mentors.
Brookes Advice I like coming to Xavier because I am learning different stuff and we get a mentor which I like because I like to be around college students around my age. I meet different people in Project SEARCH.
Zacharys Advice I like being at Xavier because of the things that I am learning that I did not know before. I also go around the college to do my job here a Xavier to drop off and pick up boxes. To me, it is a lot of fun.
Job Coachs Advice At work you do the same things everyday. It is called work! Our intern s success is our success!
