LGBF and NIF Update 2022-23 LGBF Report Published LGBF dashboard updated on a monthly basis Improvement Service moving to report on leavers Discussion around moving NIF to be based on SCQF (SSAILD would need to change) Question around number of awards and level
LGBF and NIF Update SG Proposal 1. SSAILD should align with the LGBF - Use all SCQF awards as part of the measurement Ensures parity of esteem across courses Aligns with Stretch Aims approach 2. SSAILD and LGBF moves to 2+ or 3+ awards - SG preference is 2+ as that would provide a measure of ambition for many young people Links to min requirement to go on to FE Less likely to generate perverse behaviours by becoming the single focus of activity in schools. 3+ would provide more of a stretch, but is more likely drive unwanted behaviour in terms of placing too much focus on increasing the number of qualifications awarded at the expense of what is actually best for each individual pupil.
