  1. Turning Vision into Action Ambassador Training (1)

  2. Happy new year 2023! What does the Bible say about 2023? Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:18-19) Look back on God s faithfulness and remember God s blessing in 2022 Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced (1 Chronicles 16:12) Giving thanks for 2023 I will sing to the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live (Psalm 104:33)

  4. Become a visionary Vision The thoughts and images you have while sleeping The desires and ambitions you have while awake The goals and plans God created you to fulfill Vision is not predicting the future. It is seeing God at work in your present situations Vision vs. goals Vision: Where are you going? What will you try to accomplish? Goals: Tangible ways you will carry out or progress toward the vision.

  5. Reasons why goal setting is important Goal setting is a spiritual discipline that helps us to become more like Jesus He planned to bring all of history to its goal in Christ. Then Christ would be the head of everything in heaven and on earth (Ephesians 1:10, GW) Goal setting builds your character Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me (Philippians 3:12) Good goals will be rewarded If your goals are good, you will be respected, but if you are looking for trouble, that is what you will get (Prov 11:27 GNT) Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever (1 Cor 9:25)

  6. Questions to check your goals Will this goal honor God? So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it (1 Corinthians 5:9) God paid a great price for you. So use your body to honor God (1 Corinthians 6:20, CEV) Is this goal motivated by love? Let love be your highest goal! But you should also desire the special abilities the Spirit gives especially the ability to prophesy (1 Corinthians 14;1) Will this goal require depending on God? In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps (Proverbs 16:9) without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him (Hebrews 11:6)

  7. Resources you will need to accomplish goals You will need God s Spirit to empower you (God to Zerubbabel) You will not succeed by your own strength or by your own power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD All-Powerful (Zachariah 4:6, NCV) You will need God s word to guide you Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful (Joshua 1:8) You will need God s people to support you A cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12)

  8. Set your goals in 2023 Growing in wisdom Growing in stature (Intellectual Growth) (Physical Growth) Comprehensive Growth Growing in favor with God Growing in favor with man (Spiritual Growth) (Relational Growth) Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man (Luke 2:52 NIV).

  9. Set a goal for intellectual growth Do yourself a favor and learn all you can; then remember what you learn and you will prosper (Proverbs 19:8, GNT). Your 2023 goal for intellectual growth Set a goal for physical growth Don t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, NLT). Your 2023 goal for physical growth

  10. Set a goal for relational growth This is my prayer for you: that your love will grow more and more; that you will have knowledge and understanding with your love (Philippians 1:9, NCV). Your 2023 goal for relational growth? Set a goal for spiritual growth Grow in spiritual strength and become better acquainted with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18, TLB). Your 2023 goal for spiritual growth?

  11. Your homework: Creating your goals 2023 Your personal goals What is the most important goals I d like to accomplish in 2023? 4 ways (physical, intellectual, relational and spiritual goals) Your ministry goals What is the most important ministry goals I want to accomplish in 2023? How to measure it? Quantitatively (growing in numbers) Qualitatively (grow deeper, more intimate relationship with Jesus)

  12. 2023 Vision We are witnesses for Jesus But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth (Acts 1:8) Witness A person who saw, knew or experienced something (Deuteronomy 17:6, Acts 5:30-32) A person who guaranteed (or swore to) to the truth of something (Ruth 4:9; 1 Samuel 12:5; 2 Corinthians 1:23) It is wrong for a witness to remain silent when he had evidence to present (Leviticus 5:1) Disciples of Jesus were witnesses to the truth that Jesus was God and the Savior of the world (1 John 1:1-3; 1 John 4;14) The gospel was called the witness (testimony) of Christ (1 Corinthians 1:6; 2 Thessalonians 1:10)

  13. Goals - Launching 2 new programs to train Christian leaders (Ambassadors, Young Ambassadors) in 2023 Training 25 ambassadors in 25 countries by the end of 2025 - Witness
