Anne of Green Gables is book by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery. It s my favorite book so I decided to write about it. This book is written for all ages. There are all adventures of Anne Shirley, an 11-year-old girl who is mistakenly sent to Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, a middle-aged brother and sister who wanted to adopt a boy to help them on their farm in Prince Edward Island. Anne Shirley MarillaCuthberth Anne Shirley is the main character of this book. She s , talkative, red-headed girl who comes to live with Matthew Cuthbert and MarillaCuthbert. Anne is very sensitive about the color of her hair. MarillaCuthberth is a stepmother of Anne. She is a middle-aged women who is sister of Matthew Cuthbert. When Anne arrived she didn t behaved well to her but later they became friends. CHARACTERS
Gilberth Blythe MatthewCuthbert GilberthBlythe is a handsome and smart classmate who has a crush on Anne the moment he sees her. He tried to get Anne's attention by holding her hair and calling her "Carrots!" Matthew Cuthberth is Marilla'sbrother, he is very shy, old man. Matthew takes a liking to Anne from the start and they two become fast friends. CHARACTERS
Lucy Maud Montgomery was born in Clifton (now New London) in Prince Edward Island on November 30, 1874. Her mother Clara WoolnerMacneillMontgomery died of tuberculosis when Maud was 21 month. Lucy Maud Montgomery, a Canadian author started to write novels in 1908 with Anne of Green Gables. The main character, Anne Shirley made Montgomery famous in her lifetime.
