Using the ruler 1. View tab (PC) 2. Select ruler 3. Check with your neighbor to see if you did it right. 4. Raise your hand it you need help.

Setting paragraph indentation Primary types of indentation for papers: 1. Far left margin (level 2 headings) 2. Indent first line 1/2 inch 3. Block indented quotes 4. Hanging indentation (references)

Inter-paragraph spacing You try it: Write a few short sentences (maybe writing down your preferred technique for changing inter- paragraph spacing). Put a paragraph return before your last sentence or two. Check and make sure that you have removed all extra lines before and after paragraphs. Check with your neighbor. 1. 2. 3. 4.
