  7. What is the Armed Forces Covenant? A promise from the nation ensuring that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly It encourages activities which help to integrate the Armed Forces into local life.

  8. The covenants 2 principles are that: the armed forces community should not face disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services special consideration is appropriate in some cases, such as the injured and the bereaved.
