What are the Characteristics of God the Father? God is the Creator of everything --- Nehemiah 9: 6 God is All-Powerful --- 1 Chronicles 29: 11 God is All-Knowing --- Hebrews 4:13, 1 John 3: 20 God is Holy --- Leviticus 11: 44 & 45, 1 Samuel 2: 2 God is a Spirit --- John 4:24 God is a Person you can know --- Psalms 145: 18 God is a Loving Father --- 1 John 3: 1a 3
Why did God the Son become the visible image of the invisible God? To rescue mankind from Satan s power --- Colossians 1:13a, Luke 19:10 To give His life as a ransom to buy us back --- Matthew 20:28 To destroy the works of Satan in our lives --- 1 John 3:8 To give us eternal life --- 1 John 5: 11 & 12 To give us a new birth --- John 1: 12 & 13 To restore our fellowship with God the Father --- 1 John 1: 3 To show us what God is really like --- John 14: 7, John 14: 9 4
What is the work of God the Holy Spirit? He teaches --- John 14: 26 He helps us live lives pleasing to God --- Galatians 5: 16 He helps us in prayer --- Romans 8: 26 He testifies of our relationship with God --- Romans 8: 16 He introduces us to the Supernatural realm --- 1 Corinthians 12: 4, 8-10 He brings a fresh understanding of the Word of God --- 1 Corinthians 2: 9 & 10 He fills our spirit with true worship to God --- Ephesians 5: 18 & 19 He testifies that Jesus is alive --- Acts 5: 30-32 He glorifies Jesus --- John 16: 14-15 5
How do the Scriptures help us?
