In Summer 2020, Averett University addressed the issue of student access to textbooks through the implementation of the All-Access Textbook Assistance Program. This program aimed to improve affordability, student outcomes, and retention rates by providing all-inclusive textbook packages to students. By offering a cost-effective and flexible solution, Averett sought to enhance the educational experience for students across various programs. Additionally, the program included a cost analysis showcasing substantial savings for students, particularly in programs like Nursing. Furthermore, the Cougar Cares Program extended support beyond textbooks, covering essentials like clothing, food, and medical co-pays, promoting student success and well-being.
