Exploring Azure Marketplace and Working with Virtual Machines M. Saad Shaikh
About Me I am a Computer Systems Engineer, currently working as an Associate Data Engineer at Data Science Dojo. I focus mostly on Azure Cloud services and application development frameworks.
What will we be doing today? Understanding Azure Virtual Machines Exploring Azure Marketplace Perform one-click deployments Learn some interesting tool using VM
Azure Virtual Machine Azure virtual machines are one of several types of on-demand, scalable computing resources that Azure offers. You choose a virtual machine when you need more control over the computing environment than the other choices offer. It gives you the flexibility of virtualization without having to buy and maintain the physical hardware that runs it. Azure Spot Virtual Machines Use Spot Virtual Machines to buy unused compute capacity at significant cost savings. Deploy workloads that can handle interruptions and don't need to be completed within a specific period.
Azure Marketplace & Azure AppSource Azure Marketplace Azure AppSource In Azure Marketplace you can find, try, buy, and deploy the software and services you need to build new solutions and manage your cloud infrastructure. AppSource is an online marketplace where you can browse, try, buy, and deploy thousands of business apps and services that enable innovation, drive business outcomes, and help you get more done with the technology you already have. Azure Marketplace is focused on providing a wide variety of software solutions, including infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offerings, platform-as-a-service (PaaS) offerings, and software-as-a-service (SaaS) offerings. It also includes a variety of pricing models, such as pay-as-you-go, bring-your-own-license, and free trials. Azure AppSource is focused primarily on SaaS applications that are built on Azure and are designed to integrate with other Azure services. It includes applications for specific industries such as healthcare, finance, and education.
SaaS, PaaS and IaaS More control over infrastructure Software as a Service provides fully-managed software applications that are accessed over the internet. Examples of SaaS providers include Salesforce, Office 365, and Zoom. SaaS Platform as a Service provides a platform for developing, running, and managing applications. Examples of PaaS providers include AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Azure App Service, and Google App Engine. PaaS Infrastructure as a Service provides virtualized computing resources, such as virtual machines, storage, and networking. Examples of IaaS providers include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). IaaS
One-Click Deployments The key feature of one-click deployment is that it allows users to deploy software or applications with just a single click or command, eliminating the need for manually configuring servers, installing software, and setting up dependencies. Let s go to Azure Marketplace and deploy some interesting tool
