Baptist Covenant Theology: Understanding God's Covenant with Abraham
Biblical covenants are relational arrangements initiated by God for our good, sometimes with conditions. The Covenant with Abraham illustrates two contrasting covenants through his sons, Hagar/Ishmael and Sarah/Isaac, representing flesh vs. promise, law vs. redemption, and old covenant of works vs. new covenant of grace.
