  1. DGS Bearcats Football

  2. Congratulations! Bearcats had a very successful football season this year. We were able to finish 3rd in the Northern conference winning our two conference subdivision playoff games this year and heading into playoffs with a full head of steam. Unfortunately, we lost by one score in the always tough place to play, Wibaux. I couldn t be more proud of each and every one of the guys on the team. They gave their heart and soul, and was the such an enjoyable, great group of young men to coach. Seeing their growth throughout the season was nothing short of amazing. Thank you all for the ride and looking forward to continued success for the Bearcats Football Program. Record-6-4

  6. Most Outstanding Player (M.O.P.) Dylan Taylor Dylan was the absolute man for us this year. He lead our team in rushing, receptions, interceptions, defensive touchdowns, fumbles caused, recovered, and return yards. He had some absolutely huge games for us, scoring touchdowns on punt returns, receiving, rushing, interception returns, and fumble returns. Dylan had a pure knack for the ball, (watch films of his strip scores) and it was quite the sight to see. As far as I m concerned he was one of, if not the most dangerous scoring and offensive threat in state 6 man football. Thanks Dylan!

  7. Hitman Zack Solomon Zack was our defensive team leader and captain this year. He ran the show from his MLB position. If he got a hold of the offensive player, he was going down, and was going down with a bang. He had some of the best hits I have ever seen throughout the season. Zack had 152 tackles for us this year, 60 more than the 2nd leading tackler! Along with this Zack played our fullback position. He did not get the amount of carries as our running back, but his blocking and booming lead blocks lead the way for everything that we did. We would have been nothing on either side of the ball without Zack. Zack has a knack for where the ball is going to be at. He makes amazing reads, and knows what is going to happen before it does. I expect Zack will be one of the top 6 man football players in the state next year, and I look forward to it. Thanks Zack!

  8. Teammate Award Arik Ayers I felt this is the perfect award for Arik this year. He was literally asked to play every position on the field this year, and did it gladly, for the betterment of the team. He eventually ended up as our QB and his leadership from that position was second to none. I can t tell you how proud I was watching him do this. It was amazing to watch Arik grow throughout the season as a teammate and a leader. We were very lucky to have someone like him on our team this year. Thanks Arik!

  9. Most Improved Brodie Goodhart This is actually the second year in a row Brodie has earned this award, but there was no denying his improvement. Brodie was our big play receiving threat for the year, making some absolutely amazing catches and breakaway runs. He also improved himself into an all conference player and made the 6-Man All-Star Game. His improvements through all four years were awesome, and we were lucky to have him. Thanks Brodie!

  10. Toughness Jacob Pollari Pollari the muscle hamster. Enough said. Jacob is one of the most hard nosed players you will ever see play. He is undersized, but his hits pack a punch of a kid twice his size. He will play anywhere on the field for us, and loves to mix it up. Every team needs a player like Jacob. He brings it every practice and game. Thanks Jacob!

  11. Newby Award Xander Houseman and Ace Becker We were lucky enough to get Xander back from CMR this past year. He jumped right in and was a huge benefit for our program this year. He starts on the O-line and D-line for us, and anchors the line both ways. Xander loves football, and loves to hit, and we appreciate his contributions to the program. I expect BIG things from him next year. Ace contributed more as a freshman then any one I have ever coached. He played tons of snaps for us on both sides of the ball, and many different positions. We asked a lot of Ace for a freshman, and he always delivered. Ace has an amazing future ahead of him in football and I couldn t be more excited for him. Thanks Ace and Xander!

  12. Special 4 Year Recognition from Coaches Stephen Vincent and Brodie Goodhart Coaches want to give a special thank you to these two fine young gentlemen and football players. We were lucky enough to take over this program 4 years ago, when these two were freshman. They are the first two players to go through 4 full years with us as coaches. They always did exactly what we asked of them. They are the reason that DGS has a successful football program. The improvements that they both made throughout 4 years of high school football was great, but nothing compared to their growth from boys to men. We want both of you two to know how much you mean to us and our program and give you a special thanks and shout out for completing 4 full seasons with us. Thank you Brodie and Stephen!
