Overall Findings in 2017 From 2016 2017, Hispanic populations experienced the greatest growth rate, at 2.2%, followed by: Asian/Pacific Islander-non-Hispanic populations (1.9%) Black-non-Hispanic populations (1.7%) (Figure 3). White-non-Hispanic populations had significantly higher death rates from suicide than any other race/ethnicity groups (Figure 51.) 27.2 per 1000,000 population Black-non-Hispanic adult populations reported a significantly greater prevalence (19.2%) of 14-30 days of poor mental health than Hispanic populations (8.3%) (Figure 85.). White-non-Hispanic adult populations reported a significantly greater prevalence (12.8%) of cognitive difficulties because of a physical, mental or emotional condition than Hispanic populations (8.0%) (Figure 87.).
