  2. METRIC CONCEPTS (ranked in Feb 14 Committee member survey) 1. Availability of non-jail walk-in/drop-off service 2. Worker retention/turnover 3. Availability/accessibility of culturally specific care 4. Time to access to BH services when needed (including outpatient, wrap-around, ER, hospitalization, continuum of care, integrated care, harm reduction, psychiatry, medication assisted treatment for substance use, etc.) 5. Accessibility of behavioral health resources for justice-involved individuals

  3. METRIC CONCEPTS (ranked in Feb 14 Committee member survey) 6. Fair rates for behavioral health services including substance use treatment 7. Address the inequity between communities of color when naming and communicating promising practices; there needs to be an increase in the practices reflecting African American communities 8. Supportive housing conducive to positive growth and change is available, especially for people leaving incarceration and leaving state hospital 9. Time to next available appointment 10. Housing is available

  7. USING A TOOL TO HELP US GET OUR WORK DONE TODAY 1. Your sticky note card will look like this. 2. If you want to add an emoji, click the happy face. 3. If you want to erase you card without saving, click on the x 4. After you are happy with what you have typed, click Save Type Something X Save

Clicking on the three dots will give you following options: 1. Edit card 2. Copy card text 3. Set card color 4. Set as action item 5. Delete card 0 0

HOW THIS WILL WORK An email will be sent to all voting/non-voting members of the Committee with the link to the tool which is called EasyRetro board Everyone will be able to see the cards/comments. The board will be on the main screen for all attendees to see what the committee is talking about. The committee will work on each question (column), one at a time for about 3-5 minutes each.

LETS TEST IT OUT NOW Please go to your email and click on the link Please click the plus button and type in your name, pronouns, race/ethnicity, and tell us something about you that may be a surprise to your fellow committee members Once you are finished typing that, remember to click on Save Please stop, return to the Zoom screen, and wait for further instruction Kathy, please pull up the board for the public to follow along with the committee

  16. LETS TEST IT OUT NOW Please take a moment and read what your fellow committee members wrote Then click the thumbs up button on one that surprises, intrigues, delights or otherwise inspires you to click thumbs up Please stop, return to the Zoom screen, and wait for further instruction

LETS TEST IT OUT NOW Please now choose on committee member s sticky note and click on the comment bubble Introduce yourself by typing in your name and say hello or something that you wish to say to the person. Hit the check mark when you have finished typing As you see numbers pop up next to the comment bubbles, click to read what people are writing.

  18. WE ARE WARMED UP NOW There we did it! After the break we ll use this tool and dig into the metrics a little deeper.

  19. WELCOME BACK Let s now try something a little more challenging Please return to your email and click on the new link you have just received. You should see a new Board, entitled Availability of drop-off locations and services in lieu of arrests and incarcerations Let s explore this metric concept a little more deeply as we refine our thinking Click on the + and begin your sticky notes. You may complete as many sticky notes as you wish, and please keep your note to one idea per note. We ll give you five minutes to work on this. After, we ll have you read through what others have written, make comments, and vote on ideas that compel you to give a thumbs-up.
