What is SOAR? Stands for SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery Helps increase access to SSA benefits For people who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness Who have a mental illness, medical impairment, and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder Sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) SOAR is practiced in all 50 states, no direct funding for program Stands for SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery Helps increase access to SSA benefits For people who are experiencing or at-risk of homelessness Who have a mental illness, medical impairment, and/or a co- occurring substance use disorder Sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) SOAR is practiced in all 50 states, no direct funding for program
