  3. II. You Must Learn the Four Rules of Biblical Communication A. Be Honest 1. Put off falsehood 2. Do not lie 3. Do not deceive or tell a half-truth 4. Speak the truth in love

  4. II. You Must Learn the Four Rules of Biblical Communication B. Keep Current 1. Each day has enough trouble of its own 2. Don t give Satan an opportunity 3. Talk to those that have offended you 4. Talk to those who you think you have offended

  5. II. You Must Learn the Four Rules of Biblical Communication C. Attack the Problem, Not the Person 1. Put off unwholesome words 2. Don t attack their character 3. Let your speech be full of grace and seasoned with salt 4. Watch your tone, volume, and facial expressions

  10. TAKE HOME: Are you using the power of your tongue to build up your spouse up or to cut them down? Are you giving Satan an opportunity to enter your marriage or is Christ reigning in your marriage? Are you more interested in avoiding conflict or absolving conflict through Christ-centered communication?
