Bioenhancers, Immunostimulants, and Immunosuppressants Overview
Discover the roles of bioenhancers, immunostimulants, and immunosuppressants in pharmacology and toxicology. Learn about how bio-enhancers enhance drug bioavailability, immunostimulants boost the immune system, and immunosuppressants modulate immune responses in various conditions such as organ transplantation and autoimmune diseases.

Content of chapter * Bioenhancer * Immunostimulants * Immunoupprent
Bioenhancers Bio-enhancers are substances which stimulate and enhance the bioavailability and bioefficacy of drug with which it is combined with or withiut any typical pharmacological activity. E.g:- piperine, aloe vera, allicin, quercetin etc are commonly used as bioenhancer.
Immunostimulants Immunostimulants, also known as immunostimulators, are the substances that stimulate the immune system by inducing activation or increasing activity of any of its components. Eg:- Interferon, interleukins, vaccines etc.
Immunosuppresants These are the drugs which inhibit cellular/humoral or both immune response and have their major use in organ transplantation and auto immune disease. Eg:-Azathioprine, Cyclosporine, antithymocyte globulin etc.
