  2. SHORT HISTORY OF POETS KHALIL MITHRAN His yearly life: Khalil Mithran was born in Baalbek at 1872 AD. Khalil attended the Greek Catholic school in Beirut, where one of his teacher was Nasif al- Yasiji.

  3. His Works: In 1900, he found his own Fort nightly magazine, Al- Majjalla al Misriyya. He noted Mahmood sami Al Barudi in it. In 1903, he started publishing a daily newspaper Al Jawaib al- misriyya. An Anthology of his poems, the Diwan al- Khalil was published in four volumes during his life time.

  4. He translated a number of plays Shakesphere, Corneille, Victor Hugo into Arabic. Khalil Mithran also known as the ( The poet of the two countries). In 1935, he became director of the Al- Firqa al- Qawmiya of the Egyptian theatre.

  5. His Death: Khalil Mithran died in cairo at 1949 AD.

  6. HAFIZ IBRAHIM His Early Life : Hafiz Ibrahim was born in Egypt at 1871 AD. His Father was an Egyptian Engineer and his Mother was Turkish origin. And he was also called the ( poet of the Nile).

  7. After his Fathers death, He was sent to live with his uncle in Tanta. And received his Primary school education there. Then he moved to Cairo to live with his mother where he completed his secondary education. His Career: Hafiz was a well known Egyptian poet of the early 20thcentury.

  8. In 1911 Hafiz was appointed the literary section in the Dar al kutub al- Misriyah. And also he worked before in 1888 in Military Academy and later as a lieutenant. His works:

  9. His Death: Hafiz Ibrahim died at 1932 AD.

  10. AHMED SHAWQI His Early life: Ahmed Shawqi was born in Cairo at 1868 AD. His family was wealthy and prominent and well connected with the court of Khedive of Egypt. His studies in law at the universities of Montpellier and Paris for three years.

  11. And he was the Greatest Arabic poet in Egypt and Dramatist. In 1927 he was crowned by his peers ( The prince of poet). shawqi was the first in Modern Arabic literature. His Plays are:
