- Overview of Session Cancer Support Scotland s history and services. Transforming our support to a digital platform. Reform for the future with a blended approach to support. Referrals and signposting to Cancer Support Scotland. 
- Our History Founded by Professor Sir Kenneth Calman (Former Chief Medical Officer) in 1980. Originally named Tak Tent , an old Scots phrase meaning take care . The name was changed to Cancer Support Scotland in 2011. Cancer Support Scotland's main centre is the Calman Centre in the grounds of Gartnavel Hospital. With outreach services across Scotland. 
- About Us Wellbeing champions for those affected by cancer for over 40 years, not only for those diagnosed, but their loved ones and carers too. All services free of charge. Low and mid-level psychological support through Wellbeing services. Pre pandemic offering 6,500 in-person appointments a year. Support provided in the Calman Centre and Community Outreach Projects.

- Impact of COVID-19 All in-person wellbeing services ceased. Offered reassurance telephone calls to 700 people affected by cancer. Transformed our in-person Counselling Service and Stress Management Workshops. Developed online Mindfulness Sessions and Self-Help Resources.

- Referrals and Signposting Anyone can refer and self-referrals are welcome. We support the whole of Scotland with blended services. Provide free services to the person affected by cancer, loved ones and carers. To refer visit our website, completing the referral form.
