  7. THEORY AROMA FUSION

  8. LES BAMBOUS HISTORY Bamboo is native to tropical, subtropical and temperate regions. This fast-growing plant is characterized by its strength, flexibility and robustness. Color and number of nodes can vary. A true lucky charm in the Fen Shui tradition, which is sacred in Japan, bamboo is used in many artistic fields such as music, calligraphy, painting, etc. It has therefore quite naturally found its place in massage, giving the hand another way of expressing itself. YON-KA BAMBOOS There are many different types of bamboo. For optimum massage and a better grip, we've chosen "chineese dan bamboos" for their softness and small diameter. THE BENEFITS OF A BAMBOO MASSAGE Native to Asia and Africa, bamboo massage has many virtues: - - - - TONING: tones and softens the skin DRAINING: helps eliminate toxins from the skin, leaving you feeling lighter. SILHOUETTE - MINCEUR: it has a reshaping and slimming effect on the silhouette as it moulds to the body's curves and helps to dislodge fatty deposits. RELAXING: relieves tension and helps release muscular pressure This energetic massage is both gentle and firm, light and deep. RECOMMENDATIONS Precautions : - Modulate pressure, amplitude and speed of movement according to the client's wishes - The greater the pressure, the slower the movement - Avoid bony, sensitive areas (popliteal fossa) - For greater comfort, keep the bamboos at body temperature by placing them on the heated blanket or towel warmer. - Before modelling, check the bamboo knots to avoid injuring the customer.

  9. CONTRAINDICATIONS - Major circulatory problems (varicose veins, varicosities, chronic vascular fragility, phlebitis...) - Pregnant women, as before 4 months and with the consent of the attending physician BAMBOO CARE - Before and after each use, clean with soapy water and dry thoroughly. - Can be put in a UV sterilizer

  10. DIGITIO PRESSURE HISTORY Traditional Chinese medicine is based on 2 philosophies: "Confucianism and Taoism". Taoism is itself based on the theory of Ting and Yan and the theory of the five elements. These 2 theories are closely linked to the understanding of the energy that animates the universe and brings it to life: QI (pronounced "Tchi"). The 2 QI energies are Ying QI (like water flowing down) and Yang QI (like fire flowing up). In traditional Chinese medicine, the biological functioning of the human body depends on the movement of these energies through the meridians, which are the places where these energies pass through, the places where the body's major functions "resonate". Digitopression is a manual, energetic and holistic therapy that originated in Japan and is distinct from massage. Like acupuncture and anma, digitopression is inspired by shiatsu, which itself stems from the beliefs of traditional Chinese medicine, particularly that of the meridians. It involves applying pressure to the whole body using the hands (and sometimes the elbows and knees). Massaging and stimulating the meridians and energy concentration points rebalances body and mind to restore calm and vitality. POINTS SELECTED BY YON-KA - The 12 main meridians: regulate the flow of energy throughout the body (6 Ying and 6 Yang meridians) - Ting points: act on irritability, anxiety, mental agitation THE BENEFITS OF A DIGITO PRESSURE MASSAGE - REEQUILIBRANT: helps restore energy imbalances - RE-ENERGIZING: helps you regain your energy capital - REVITALIZING: it provides a feeling of well-being and relieves stress to help you cope with everyday life. It gives you new energy to face everyday life.

  11. RECOMMENDATIONS - Apply progressive pressure - Do not apply excessive pressure - Check customer sensitivity - Let the client know that she is reporting a sore spot - Warn the client that she may feel a slight pinch or temporary discomfort during the treatment. CONTRAINDICATIONS - Pregnant women

  12. HOT STONES HISTORY The use of hot stones for curative or hygienic purposes dates back to ancient times. 4000 years ago in China, they were used to relieve stress, relieve tension and alleviate pain. In Japan, they were used in "amna" (seated massage), one of the oldest forms of massage in Asia. Stones were also used in Egypt, Africa and ancient European cultures for therapeutic purposes or to heat saunas. In the Hawaiian Islands, hot stone massage was used by traditional healers for its protective and curative virtues. On the Amerindian continent, hot stones are tools for well-being and relaxation. The originality of hot stone massage lies in the use of volcanic basalt pebbles, traditionally from Hawaii. Entirely polished and very soft, they are used in combination with massage oil to massage the body by pressing on targeted points. As a massage tool, stone becomes an extension of the hand. Thanks to its weight, shape, softness, heat conductivity and musicality, it contributes to relaxation and well- being. STONES SELECTED BY YON-KA The stones are made of basalt and hand-selected in Peru. These stones are formed by volcanic activity in the Pacific Ring of Fire. Emerging from the mountains, they cross the rivers and end up in the ocean, where they are naturally shaped by the waves over the centuries. Finally, they wash up on the beach, where they are selected for their shape and softness. THE BENEFITS OF A HOT STONE MASSAGE - RELAXING: relaxes muscles and promotes relaxation - WELL-BEING: provides a feeling of well-being and letting go - COMFORTING: a source of comfort and warmth It relieves stress and muscular tension.

  13. RECOMMENDATIONS - Do a temperature test on yourself - If the stones are too hot, run them under cold water - Perform a heat transfer and test on the customer - Areas where nerves have been severed are insensitive to heat, so be sure to use stones at body temperature. CONTRAINDICATIONS - Skin infections, wounds - Avoid hot stones in case of epilepsy - Pregnant women, not before 4 months and with the agreement of the attending physician STONE CARE - Before and after each use, clean with soapy water and dry thoroughly. - Can be put in a UV sterilizer

  14. THEORY BODY SPECIFICS

  15. THE SPIRIT OF BODY SPECIFICS Thinness is a vast subject that preoccupies many women, especially today in a society where the cult of beauty has invaded magazines. Yon-Ka's aim is to make women aware that they are all unique, and that small flaws are part of their uniqueness. Let's accept our shortcomings and be kind to ourselves! Let's learn to take time for ourselves and enjoy taking care of ourselves. BODY SPECIFICS products and treatments are not a miracle solution. We must accompany the customer in her approach like a coach and give her all the keys so that she can feel good about her body (products, tips...). THE CURE Factors for a successful cure : Expert Regular care and product application Comprehensive care morphological assessment Motivation

  16. MORPHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT Objectives: - Personalize your treatment - Highlight the esthetician's expertise - Build loyalty - Increase product sales Discovering customers, their needs and expectations Visual and tactile diagnosis Recommendations 1. Discovering customers, their needs and expectations To create a climate of trust, it's important to ensure that the first contact is experienced as an exchange rather than an interrogation. To do this, you need to introduce yourself as her new wellness coach, make her understand that it's hand-in-hand work that will enable her to achieve her goals, and explain how the session will work. The practitioner will determine : - The objectives - Lifestyle: working conditions, physical exercise, diet, alcohol, tobacco - Life balance: sleep, stress, time for yourself - Health: varicose veins, phlebitis, cholesterol, pregnancy, digestive disorders, treatments, menopause Don't hesitate to ask the customer to describe a typical day.

  17. 2. Visual and tactile diagnosis VISUAL ANALYSIS VISUAL ANALYSIS - - the customer stands in disposable underwear or briefs with a bathrobe or pareo to protect her privacy. the customer stands in disposable underwear or briefs with a bathrobe or pareo to protect her privacy. DESCRIPTION OBJECTIVE MORPHOTYPE - Gynoid = pear - Android = apple - Mixed Identify work areas FRAME To be determined with thumb and forefinger around the wrist - Small - Average - Large Determine ability to refine ANCRE FESSI RE - Smile = ideal - Long = saddlebags - Asymmetrical = to be reshaped - Not visible = lack of tone Identify work areas MUSCLE TONE Ask the client to contract the muscle - visible or invisible contraction Determining the presence or absence of relaxation CIRCULATORY AND LYMPHATIC NETWORKS - Visible vessels, veins and varicose veins - Swollen legs Determining whether there is a circulatory problem via malleolus tests

  18. 2. Visual and tactile diagnosis TACTILE ANALYSIS TACTILE ANALYSIS Type and stage of cellulite - Presence or absence of cellulite - aqueous or adipose - Presence or absence of skin laxity Determine work areas and cellulite stage Hot and cold zones Determining whether there is a circulatory problem Muscle tone Ask the client to contract the muscle - visible or invisible contraction Determining the presence or absence of relaxation The 4 stages of cellulite : The Nurnberger-Muller scale distinguishes four stages of cellulite: Stage 0: Stage 0: no "orange peel" appearance. The pinch test reveals smooth, even skin. Stage 1: Stage 1: pinching induces a quilted appearance of the skin Stage 2: Stage 2: the "orange peel" appearance appears when the individual is standing, but remains smooth when lying down. Stage 3: Stage 3: Quilting present in all positions 3. Explanations and recommendations Explain the personalized treatment based on the morphological assessment: - Treatments and number of sessions required: list the main stages and effects and emphasize the specific work areas. - Immediate and long-term results - Products to use at home: how to use them and how often to optimize results - Beauty tips - Explain the importance of regularity and comprehensiveness For the 1st session, suggest wearing a test garment to measure progress in the middle and at the end of the treatment.

  19. CELLULITE CELLULITE, CELLULITE, GENERALITIES GENERALITIES & & DEFINITION Cellulite affects 90% of women and only 2% of men - what an injustice! DEFINITION Why is cellulite less visible in men? - women have twice as many adipocytes as men - hormonal fluctuations - skin thickness - body hair - structure of connective tissue in the hypodermis Cellulite is the result of fat storage in the form of triglycerides in adipocytes. To function properly, our bodies need fat, which provides them with energy. These fats are stored in the hypodermis, in adipose tissue, which contains the famous adipocytes. The fats we bring into our body through our diet are therefore stored in adipocytes, waiting to be transformed into energy in the form of ATP by our body. This storage phenomenon is called lipogenesis multiply in order to hold all the fat they contain. Conclusion: Lipogenesis is the storage of fat in the form of triglycerides (glycerol + fatty acids). Lipolysis is the release of fats in the form of energy (ATP) thanks to an enzyme called triglyceride lipase. lipogenesis. During lipogenesis, adipocytes can expand and CELLULITE, THE FACTORS CELLULITE, THE FACTORS - Endocrine factors: hormonal fluctuations (control blood and lymph circulation, fat storage) and use of oral contraceptives or other medications - Circulatory disorders - Dietary factors: diet too rich in salt, saturated fats, sugars, excess alcohol - Lifestyle: sedentary lifestyle (lack of physical activity), poor posture (crossed legs, prolonged standing), smoking, wearing tight clothing, stress.

  20. CELLULITE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CELLULITE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CELLULITE - Aqueous cellulite Cause: water retention in the hypodermis due to poor blood and lymph circulation Visual signs: slightly bumpy, more visible when standing than lying down, swollen "pole" legs, visible vessels Palpatory signs: supple, cold area, sensation of heavy legs and swelling Location: thighs, calves, knees, ankles, arms - Adipose cellulite Cause: fat storage in adipocytes due to unbalanced diet and sedentary lifestyle Visual signs: visible when pinched, padded appearance Palpatory signs: hard, sometimes painful Location: hips, saddlebags, thighs, stomach, buttocks - Cause: collagen glycation = association of collagen fibers with glucose molecules, which causes fibrosis much more difficult to treat. Visual signs: visible, padded appearance Palpatory signs: hard, painful Location: thighs, knees N.B.: this cellulite has been present for a long time and is therefore difficult to treat. Fibrous cellulite fibrosis (hardening of collagen fibers), trapping fat cells and making them In reality, many women suffer from mixed cellulite. This is known as adipo-aqueous or adipo-fibrous cellulite.

  21. AQUEOUS CELLULITE RESPONSE AQUEOUS CELLULITE AQUEOUS CELLULITE Objectives: drain toxins and boost exchanges Treatments: PHYTO-MINCEUR, PHYTO-LEGERETE, AROMA-DRAINAGE (slow rhythm, superficial pressure) Products : CREAM 55 + DETOX OIL Complementary products: PHYTO-BAIN, GOMMAGE DOUX DETOX or GOMMAGE AUX SUCRES Beauty tips : ART OF LIVING - Avoid wearing tight clothing - Avoid wearing heels that are too high or too flat - Elevate legs as soon as possible - Do not cross your legs - Avoid prolonged standing and, if necessary, flex/extend the ankles. - Cold water spray on legs at end of shower - Foot baths - Wear compression stockings PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - Favour sports such as swimming, aquabike, aquagym, cycling, power walking, yoga, swimming, "legs up" floor exercises to facilitate venous return. - Avoid jerky sports such as tennis, squash, aerobics, jogging, etc. NUTRITIONAL - Limit salt intake - Drink 1.5L water - Eat proteins (large protein molecules attract water to the blood, which is then recirculated and eliminated by urination) and melon, watermelon, pineapple, fennel, celery ... (real natural diuretics). - Drink herbal teas made from cherry stem, meadowsweet, red vine, etc.

  22. AQUEOUS CELLULITE RESPONSE THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM The lymphatic system comprises both the lymphatic network (= lymphatic vessels that circulate lymph) and the lymphatic organs (= bone marrow and thymus, which produce lymphocytes + lymph nodes (around 600 to 700 in the body) and the spleen, which differentiate and proliferate lymphocytes). This network, which runs parallel to the bloodstream, is superficial. Functions: - immune cells (= lymphocytes) circulate throughout the body, thus playing a role in immune defense - contributes to the circulation of hormones and nutrients - drains excess fluid from tissues into the bloodstream There are no pumps in this system, as there are in blood circulation with the heart. Instead, it's the body's own movements, the contractions of muscles and fibers in the walls of lymphatic vessels, that enable lymph to circulate. WHAT IS LYMPH? WHAT IS LYMPH? A whitish-colored biological fluid similar to blood, containing white blood cells, nutrients and waste products. The average man has one to two liters of lymph (compared with five to six liters of blood).

  23. ADIPOSE CELLULITE RESPONSE ADIPOSE CELLULITE ADIPOSE CELLULITE Objective: stimulate fat removal and dissociate adipose clusters Treatments: PHYTO-MINCEUR, AROMA-SILHOUETTE (dynamic rhythm, deeper pressure) Products : CREAM 55 + SILHOUETTE OIL Complementary products: PHYTO-BAIN, GOMMAGE DOUX SILHOUETTE or GOMMAGE AUX SUCRES Beauty and wellness tips : ART OF LIVING *Practice sophrology and yoga PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - Sport - Take the stairs instead of the elevator - Stopping one metro station before the regular stop walk your child to school or buy a baguette on foot *if you watch TV, take advantage of advertisements for physical activity NUTRITIONAL - Balanced diet - Limit salt, saturated fats, water-rich fruits and vegetables - Drink herbal teas made from fennel, climbing ivy, etc. - Avoid fruit at the end of meals

  24. SKIN SLACKENING SKIN SKIN SLACKENING, SLACKENING, GENERAL The skin's support tissue, the dermis, changes over time. The quality of the fibers deteriorates, and they renew themselves less well and less quickly: their role in supporting the skin is therefore less effective. Elastin, a very fine fiber that allows the skin to stretch and return to its original shape, becomes fragile and breaks down. It is no longer renewed after adulthood. Collagen, which ensures the skin's resistance, loses its properties and renews itself more and more slowly. Hyaluronic acid production also declines. GENERAL & & DEFINITION DEFINITION SKIN SLACKENING, FACTORS SKIN SLACKENING, FACTORS - Moderate weight gain followed by weight loss: pregnancy and yo-yo dieting - Significant weight loss after a long period of obesity - Endocrine factors: hormonal fluctuations (e.g. menopause) - Age: over time, tissues become less toned, and the skin's elastin and collagen fibers less numerous and less resistant. - Heredity ART OF LIVING - Practice belly breathing NUTRITIONAL - Avoid rapid weight loss - Dietary supplement with silicon, spirulina, borage oil, evening primrose oil - Reduce sugar consumption as it accelerates loss of elasticity PHYSICAL ACTIVITY - Favour sports such as sheathing, stretching, pilates, squats, water bottle exercise, contracting the legs if you work in an office + perineum. - If you watch TV, take advantage of commercials to get active - Using a fitness ball
