  1. Body Image and Self-Esteem Jasmine Wells

  2. My topic In today s society, there is a common issue among everyone, which is low self-esteem. The way people portray our bodies to look sets this standard we can not always reach.

  3. My topics importance This effects many people. Many people suffer from low self-esteem that root from body expectations and if it isn t the root, then its more than likely a factor. This then brings us to compare ourselves to one another, which makes matters worse.

  4. The Story Body standards are doing nothing but putting people down. There are bad outcomes if we do not attempt to resolve this issue more. I am aware of words hurting, but some aren t. If they are, they don t care. People will continue to bring others down without hesitation just because they know it gets under their skin. Low self-esteem can lead to depression, anxiety and being majorly self- conscious, but everyone reacts to everything differently so no one knows what the outcome will be.

  5. Why I chose this topic What made me want to do this topic in the first place was seeing this girl posting a picture of her comparing herself to someone else, then I realized it wasn t just her who did it and thought that way, there was many other girls who have no support at all.

  6. What I am seeking I hope to bring awareness to everyone who isn t as familiar with this issue. The more it gets around, the more of a chance people will realize it is an issue. I m also seeking resolutions.
