Regional events Gather a group around OB in the region OB Army Invite Alumni & the Outward Bound Army to a regular (Mid-Year Meeting?) at Anakiwa Sell continuing OB Courses lifetime journey Ongoing engagement & giving back Connect local businesses & clubs with students via scholarships & sponsorships If I had my way .
Population: Under 50,000 Industries: Agriculture, forestry and fishing Unemployment vs the national average: Slightly lower Number of secondary schools: 15 About the Wairarapa
Rotary Clubs Two new scholarships WBS Full scholarship Rotary & Community Organisations
Its a great time to introduce OB as a reality Compete with Spirit of NZ Captive audiences in assembly Peer pressure & competition Plant the seed Parents still likely to pay Half-pint gives a now message Why Schools?
Contact Principal or Duke of Edinborough coordinator 10-15 minute speaking time Almunus Standard Presentation Meeting with Principal or Coordinator Understand their goals & needs Connect with OB Schools Coordinator Build relationship & stay in contact Put info into newsletter to follow up Plant the seed Speaking to Schools
