Objectives To know the attached institutions and districts; To know the activities during the attachment of BARD, RDA, BAPARD, and District- Upazila; To discuss the code of conduct during attachment; To make aware of safety issues during attachment; To make the best use of time for making the attachment successful;

Module Module- -01 01B: (Bangladesh at a Glance: History B: (Bangladesh at a Glance: History and Culture), Marks: and Culture), Marks: 25 25 You have to prepare individual reports on potential aspects/sectors of the visiting districts (Special Emphasis on Tourism and District Branding); Why are the sector/s the most potential aspect/sector? The strengths and weaknesses of the district s most potential aspect/sector? You will prepare an action plan to exploit the strengths and address identified weaknesses.

Guidance Note Please prepare your Report within 500-700 words and submit the hard copy in the course office and also in the ERP. Support your answer/logic with relevant information and/or specific examples. You are advised not to copy others ideas; Follow the evaluation policy of the FTC Date of Submission: 27 July 2023, 5 PM
Module-2: Village Study Disadvantaged Citizens Visit (DCV) To internalize the problems of Disadvantaged citizens; Initiatives to solve at least one or two of their problems with the local authority;
Participants Responsibilities under DCV Identification of the Disadvantaged Citizen (Beggar Family); Participants may identify the disadvantaged family from his /her own village or during district/Upazila attachment. Visiting the family: bedroom, kitchen, toilets, area of their home, etc; Identifying the socioeconomic problems of the family and the Root Causes of the problems Inclusion of social safety net program;
Participants Responsibilities ( contd) Classification of the problems (short-term, mid-term, and long- term); Identification of instantly solvable problems; Internalizing, growing empathy, and taking initiatives to solve the problem with the help of local authorities; Observing Public Service Delivery to the poor; Recommendation to improve their living standard
Evaluation Individual Presentation: 20 Marks Each participant will get 10 minutes including Q/A
Module 03: Poverty Reduction and Rural Module 03: Poverty Reduction and Rural Development Development Module Management: Module Management: BARD/RDA/BAPARD Evaluation Method: Evaluation Method: Written Examination and Individual Conduct Assessment (The evaluation will be conducted by the CMT of the host organization) Total Marks: Total Marks:25 (WE: 20, ICA:05)
Participants need to bring Sports dress to BARD/RDA/BAPARD
Module Module- -4: Activities in the district 4: Activities in the district To know the Role of the District Development Coordination Committee (DDCC) To know the functions of district-level public offices and visit one renowned cooperative society/NGO To study the social Accountability Tools (APA, NIS, CC, GRS, RTI) at 5 Government offices at the District level. The participants will compare theoretical knowledge gained from training with the applications; To observe and know the satisfaction of the service seekers;
Activities in the Activities in the Upazila Upazila To know the functions of Upazila level public offices, special observation on Social Safety Net Program. To know the application of social accountability tools in different offices in the Upazila Visit one of the Ashrayan projects and know the living standard of the inhabitants; Visit the local Government Institutions ( Upazila Parishad, , Union Parishad, UDC)
Evaluation: Group Report at BPATC Marks 20 The report should be analytical and well-articulated; Should reflect national development priorities and strategies; Words limit 1200-1500 Should submit to ERP and Hard copy
Seek Support from District Administration Accommodation and food; Transport; Coordination with other departments; Monitoring and supervision of their activities; Signing learning diary; Arrange presentation and evaluation according to the guideline

Safety Issues Do not talk on the mobile phone beside the window of the bus; Try to travel in the daylight; Take care of your belongings during the journey; Carry your ID card with you; Avoid vulnerable transports like Nasimon, Karimon, etc,
