THE SHORT DESCRIPTION OF OUR PROJECT The aim oh the proect - to clean polluted soil in the old Military town area in order to make it suitable and attractive for economic activity. Latvia-Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 www.latlit.eu

THE IMPLEMENTATION PROCESS -A public procurement of cleaning services was established on 14th of September, 2018 -The lawsuit with supplier ended on May, 2019. After that, the contract was signed on 28th of May, 2019 - After contract, the cleaning works in polluted area are running smoothly Latvia-Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 www.latlit.eu

CURRENT SITUATION - The process of digging the polluted soil is completed - The biological cleaning process is in progress Latvia-Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 www.latlit.eu

The main challenge - There is the risk that the main deadline of the project ( 30th of April, 2020 ) may not be met because of later than planned start of cleaning works influenced by lawsuit process - The new deadline is planned to be 28th of May Latvia-Lithuania Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020 www.latlit.eu
