Agenda MVP Demo Building an app Use AI (LLM) The no-code landscape Questions Build Your MVP Without Knowing Code
Before you start building Validate demand for your product More than asking a few friends if they want your product Find out: Is it a problem? (5 whys) Do they know that it s a problem? Have they looked for solutions? Do they have money to spend on the problem?
MVP Eric Ries, who introduced the concept of the minimum viable product as part of his Lean Startup methodology, describesthe purpose of an MVP this way: It is the version of a new product that allows a team to collect the maximum amount of validated learning about customers with the least amount of effort
MVP: Minimal Eric Ries, who introduced the concept of the minimum viable product as part of his Lean Startup methodology, describesthe purpose of an MVP this way: It is the version of a new product that allows a team to collect the maximum amount of validated learning about customers with the least amount of effort
MVP: Viable Valuable If your MVP is not of value to your target customers you can t use it to learn or validate demand for your product
MVP: Product Process Don t think about your MVP as being one- and-done Rather think about your MVP as a process: Test Learn Update your product Repeat
Customer validation iterations Secure first customers / pilots Customer discovery Build MVP Customer Validation / Pivots (iterate until customers stick around and pay)
Some examples of MVPs: Amazon: started by buying books from the distributors and selling them at a lower price. DoorDash: made a static HTML with a Google Voice number and a few PDF menus from local restaurants, offering delivery for $6. Airbnb: started as an ad about renting an air bed on a basic web page. These examples enabled the venture to start fast and learn. (Scale your app later.) MVP
MVP: Minimal Valuable Process No code products can also enable you to build something fast Iterate your product rapidly with little technical expertise
Demo: Glide How to build an app (website or mobile)
Demo: Stack-AI How to add LLMs to your app
Other No Code App builders
More complex than Glide, but.... More flexible Better control over the UI Ability to build workflows Ability to connect to third party services (APIs) Bubble More powerful & extensible
FlutterFlow New to No-Code Builds mobile apps & web apps Templates and widgets generate Flutter code Ability to export source code Ability to build V2 on the same code base
Which no code app is best for you? It depends
Some Well Known No Code Tools Glide - very easy to use, build low complexity apps, Google Sheets for your data Bubble - medium ease of use, very flexible, huge ecosystem of templates and developers (e.g. withcopilot.com & zeroqode.com) Airtable - spreadsheet like database, app development, and content publishing Adalo easy to use, more power than Glide Zapier -integrates apps and tools to perform specific tasks (e.g. send a Twillio text via a sheet) Carrd - build one-page websites (e.g. a landing page) Webflow - frontend low code development tool (e.g. website building, knowing HTML & CSS a plus) Sharetribe build two-sided marketplaces FlutterFlow ability to build native apps (for IOS & Android), and export flutter code. Knack turn a database into an app quickly (great visualization and data manipulation) Wix / Squarespace website builders Stack-AI use LLMs to make a chatbot or analyze text And many more https://www.nocode.tech /category/app-builders
