Why is it important? Business cases are written to persuade peers or leaders with decision-making power to authorize your recommended course of action. The ability to write a persuasive business case is a valuable skill that demonstrates a strategic approach, a full understanding of business dynamics and an appreciation for the types of considerations that impact business decisions. Your business case should leave no doubt that the: Challenge or opportunity has been identified via an objective assessment of data and insights Recommended plan of action offers the best option for brand success Potential ROI justifies the requested funds, resources, or support 2

While the written document is very important, chances are that you will have to present the business case in a live or virtual meeting. Writing the business case and presenting the business case are two different things Your slides will most likely need to be condensed or bulletized to be more impactful and conform to best practices regarding PowerPoint use the suggested Recommended and Optional slide options to adapt your business case appropriately.
