  1. Networking Pi Car

  2. Add Functionality 01 02 Pi Car is an open source platform, utilizing Raspberry Pi and Arduino to operate an RC car platform. We hope to design, build, and integrate a new module to the platform.

  3. Hurdles 01 02 03 04 05 Neither of has any experience working with Raspberry Pi Writing a program that quickly locates its reference in real time Manage interference from ambient light sources Creating reliable fail safes for safety and to prevent damage to the car Creating a system that elegantly and reliably integrates with the existing platform.

  4. Final Vision Create a car that is able to autonomously navigate to a static homing beacon without crashing or becoming otherwise encumbered. Add a meaningful feature to continue the development of the Pi Car open source plaform.

  5. Gantt Chart

  6. Budget Pololu IR Beacon Transceiver Pair - $49.95 Osoyoo IR Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Module - $9.99 Pi Car Chassis and Components provided by department.
